The incredible snowstorm that hit California, photos

Snow continued to fall in the Sierra Nevada mountains in the wake of an atmospheric river event that hit Mammoth Lakes, California.

Flooding washed out roads and broke a levee in parts of northern and central California due to runoff from the state's 10th atmospheric river storm.

The eastern Sierra Nevada currently holds 243 percent of its regular snowpack for this time of year. President Joe Biden approved Governor Gavin Newsom's presidential emergency request in response to the recent storms in California.
