CRAZY PEOPLE.

Porsche 919 on the terrace of the apartment, the extravagant idea comes from Belgium

A giant crane slowly brought a Porsche 919 Hybrid (a replica without an engine, apparently weighing only 200 kg) to the eighth and top floor of a building, to park it on the terrace with extreme precision. The owner of the penthouse? The pilot and entrepreneur Luc Vanderfeesten.

The car is a work of art. A Porsche 919 who took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A replica of the number 1 that competed in 2016.

Luc Vanderfeesten is a Porsche enthusiast and motorsport enthusiast. He is also the head of two Porsche centers, those of Eindhoven and Maastricht.

The extravagant idea
Luc Vanderfeesten is a businessman from Limburg (Belgium). He is passionate about motorsports and Porsche in particular. For this reason he had placed on the terrace of his apartment in Hasselt an "empty" replica of a Porsche 919 Hybrid, the model that won the 24 hours of Le Mans several times.

The model is a replica
The Porsche 919 in question, however, is not the original (800 kg) that took part in the 24 hours of Le Mans. But it's a replica of the No. 1 that raced in 2016. Which still weighs 200 kg.

The Porsche 919 Hybrid
The Porsche 919 Hybrid participated in the FIA World Endurance Championship from 2014 to 2017 and therefore also in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The race car is powered by a turbocharged V4 engine of about 500 hp that drives the rear wheels and electric motors, which in turn discharge 440 hp to the front wheels.

But who is Luc Vanderfeesten?
The man behind this somewhat extravagant idea is, as anticipated, Luc Vanderfeesten. He is a Porsche enthusiast and motorsport enthusiast. He is also the head of two Porsche centers, those of Eindhoven and Maastricht.
