Florida: photos of the reconstruction of Fort Myers after the devastation caused by Hurricane IAN

Fort Myers, Florida, was hit hard by Hurricane IAN. Cuba and North Carolina also suffered significant damage and losses.

The images show scenes of devastation, with destroyed buildings and felled trees. However, the community of Fort Myers quickly rolled up its sleeves to begin the difficult but necessary work of reconstruction.

In autumn of 2022, Hurricane Ian caused devastation along the coast eastern United States, affecting in particular Florida, where it has Caused many deaths. Cuba and North Carolina also suffered damage and significant losses. Costs of repairs and losses are estimated in over 50 billion dollars. In the photo, a hope sign reads "We can rebuild your dream."
