Black liquid in Rome's Trevi Fountain: environmentalists strike again, photos

A group of activists from the "Last Generation" movement threw black, charcoal liquid inside the Trevi Fountain. In the course of the action, a small banner for the "we don't pay the fossil" campaign was also displayed and the activists shouted, "Our country is dying," amid insults from passersby and tourists. Officers of the Trevi Group of the local police of "Roma Capitale" and police were on the scene. Some young people were reportedly identified.
